The winnings were for coming first (with an amazing 18 points) in the monthly Marshall Islands Resort’s Pub Quiz. Check out the calendar on the home page of this site to check the upcoming dates for pub quizzes.
The rules are simple: You come armed with a pen and paper and can join a team of up to four people. It costs $1 for each person to compete. Winner takes all and writes the next quiz, which is usually around 20 questions, sometimes multiple choice, sometimes not.
